muscat_g.jpgMuscat wine is composed of two varieties of Muscat grape:
- The so-called ‘Alsatian’ Muscat (the same variety as that found in the south of France): it brings a certain freshness thanks to its intense floral aromas, boxwood notes and crisp acidity.
- The Muscat Ottonel, a variety that appeared in Alsace during the 19th century, an early ripener, sensitive to the vagaries of the climate: it softens and tempers the spirit of the first by its fullness, finesse and complexity.

This blend, balanced to perfection, gives us a wine with exuberant floral and musky aromas, along with a surprising freshness in the mouth, liveliness and an impression of biting into the grape. A long fermentation at low temperature and early bottling go towards preserving the aromatic complexity of this wine.
Thanks to its dry character, Muscat sharpens the appetite and is perfect as an aperitif. It is an excellent companion to asparagus and brings out the best in light, steamed dishes and vegetarian dishes, as well as sweet and sour-type Asian salads with shellfish.
