For several centuries now, wine-growing has been an integral part of our family’s life. Initially, wine-growing was just one element in the tradition of mixed farming (previously, diversification was seen as vital). Vines were cultivated, but so too were barley and other cereals. Over time, however, wine-growing gradually became the main activity, resulting in several generations who have specialised in wine production.

It was a case of history repeating itself in 1978, with the reappearance of diversification…except this time, wine-production played the lead role. In a perspective of long-term development and modernisation, the maison Ehrhart, whilst still continuing its traditional activity of wine growing and harvesting, has decided to enter into the wine trading sector.

From now on, these two distinct visions will grow and develop in tandem: involvement in the trading sector will open up new horizons to the wines produced in the family’s vineyards, while our customers will benefit fully from our comprehensive knowledge and understanding of wine-growing and the process of wine-making.

The salesperson’s aim is never simply to sell, whatever it takes. They prefer to share their passion for the land and its produce with others. Careful to listen to their customers, they take the time to learn the tastes of each client and to always work with the client’s expectations in mind to produce the style of wine that will best meet their needs.

Availability, rapidity of response and flexibility are our watchwords.
